But here's the story,
Better late than never, right?
It happened on April 25th (the perfect date, if you ask me) (:
We decided to go on a sunrise hike (finally) that I had begged to go on for months.
Wade promised me the night before he'd take a picture with me at the top so I made sure my hair looked at least somewhat decent.
So, at 5 am the next morning I was in front of Wade's house.
I texted him that I was there and out he came in jeans, a white t-shirt, and my favorite blue jacket(:

He got in the car and off we went!
I got to be in charge of choosing where we wanted to hike and I knew just the place...
Except I got lost getting there so the 15 minute drive turned into a 45 minute drive!
But no worries, we finally found it so we parked and set off on our way (:

We had to hurry because when I look it up, the sun was set to rise at 6:34 am... this was a lie.. it came up at 7:34 am, but it was close (;
So we sat on a rock for an hour,
Talking,
Laughing,
And trying to keep our minds off of our frozen toes.
And the best part is I said several times how this would be the perfect way to propose (I thought the ring wouldn't be ready for another 3 weeks, so I was merely trying to be helpful in letting him know a good way to ask me).

And finally, around 7:33 Wade told me to close my eyes and see if I could still see the sun after I closed my eyes.
So, being as oblivious as I was, I closed my eyes and when I opened them I looked down and saw the ring.
The first thing that came out of my mouth was, "Are you serious??"
I know, super cute (; (Wade also really likes to point out I never really said "yes" even though I think I did)
I kissed him as he put the ring on my finger.
And all I remember after that was that I couldn't stop smiling about the fact that I got to spend forever with my best friend (:
And now, we're just 17 days away from being married for time and all eternity.
And I love him more and more every day (:
Love always,
The Healy's
